The latest update focuses on optimized resource management for improved performance. Hive integrates three distinct synth engines and provides two oscillators capable of generating standard waveforms or 2D wavetables. Each oscillator supports up to 16x unison and includes tunable sub-oscillators, allowing for rich and complex sounds.

Workflow is further simplified with a drag-and-drop modulation assignment system. Additionally, the plug-in features 12 x 2 modulation matrix slots equipped with modifiers such as curvature, rectification, quantization, sample & hold, and slew rate, offering expanded options for sound manipulation.

u-he HIVE 2 VST Synth

At the time we released our current plugin versions, Avid could not provide an AAX SDK that would let us build Universal Binary AAX plugins. For this reason, we currently cannot support Pro Tools for Mac. Pro Tools for Windows is still supported.

For the time being, macOS Pro Tools users who are not running the native Silicon version should use the previous versions of our plugins, available from the Release Archive.
